Our commitments to people, quality and responsible workforce supply
Rail workforce supply depends on trust: in the people put forward, the information checked and the standards expected. Our health and safety, quality assurance and equal opportunities policies guide how AJ Safety Services works with clients, employees and rail personnel.
Health and Safety Policy
Protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of employees, clients and the public is central to our approach. We support this commitment through four connected priorities:
- Training and development. We support skills development so employees can strengthen their competencies and respond effectively to client requirements.
- Risk assessment and hazard control. We identify hazards associated with our operations, assess the risks and put appropriate controls in place to reduce the possibility of harm.
- Incident reporting and investigation. Incidents, occupational injuries and work-related ill health are reported, investigated and followed up so lessons can inform future practice.
- Continuous improvement. We review our health and safety management arrangements and look for practical ways to improve the working environment.
Quality Assurance Policy
Quality means understanding the requirement and providing a reliable, responsive workforce-supply service. Our approach combines attention to client needs with a commitment to keep improving.
- Client satisfaction. We take time to understand the work environment, required competencies and programme so the people considered are relevant to the client's needs.
- Process improvement. We review how we work, using experience and feedback to strengthen the consistency and efficiency of our service.
- Employee engagement. We encourage colleagues to share ideas, raise concerns and identify opportunities to improve the way we support clients and workers.
Equal Opportunities Policy
AJ Safety Services values an inclusive working environment where people are treated fairly and with respect. Decisions about suitability should focus on the requirements of the role, relevant experience and competence.
- Non-discrimination. Employees and applicants are treated fairly, regardless of age, gender, race, disability, religion or sexual orientation.
- An inclusive workplace. We value different backgrounds and perspectives and promote respectful working relationships.
- Training and awareness. Diversity and inclusion training helps employees understand their responsibilities and prevent discrimination.
